Within the terrains of exotic landscapes, our retreat center "Ayurveda Health Home" is located just 10 km aways from the heart of the city- Thamel, Kathmandu. The center is build accordance with Vastu orientation. The area provides healthy healing in the silence of woods, cool breeze of wind, songs of birds and in nature.

Some of the Ayurvedic treatments and massages which we will be experiencing during the retreat are as follows:

Whole body relaxation abhyanga

This whole body abhyanga helps relax tension-filled areas of the body and mind. It gently releases deep underlying stress, supporting deep healing and inner rejuvenation. This relaxation massage often leads to a state of deep tranquility, joy and happiness.

Whole body herbal massage

Rooted in Ayurveda, herbal massage uses warm, herb-infused oils selected according to your body constitution (dosha) mixed with organic herbs and grains made into a coarse powder and massaged into the body. The treatment helps detoxify the body, nourish the skin, calm the nervous system and promote overall well-being.

Shirodhara

This is a distinctive Ayurvedic treatment that calms the mind and relaxes the central nervous system and thereby initiating miraculous healing. In Shirodhara, a continuous flow of Ayurvedic herbal oils or therapeutic liquids is dripped on the forehead through a metal or clay vessel "the patra" which is suspended directly above the forehead.

Herbal facial beauty package

The basic aim of this facial therapeutic is to manage various facial disorders and to release stress and rejuvenate. This technique applied with subtle-vibrations accelerates the skin's natural cell removed and restore it's radiance.

Chakra basti

Oil irrigation therapy on chakra regions. This process provides subtle nutrition to the chakra, helps to improve the function of the chakra and alleviates the diseased or stressed organ associated with the chakra. It is followed by a gentle massage of the energy points. Chakra basti is given only after consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor or chief therapists . It involves the shaping of flour dough into a ring and placing it around the desired chakra area and warm medicated oil is gradually pored inside. Then the subtle vibrations are given around the body with the help of singing bowls. There are five places for the application of chakra basti, Muladhara Chakra (Root chakra or coccygeal center), Svadhisthana Chakra (Sacral chakra or pubic center), Manipura Chakra (Solar plexus Chakra or Navel center), Anahata Chakra (Heart Chakra) and Vishuddha chakra (Throat Chakra).

Picu (Hot oil sponging)

This is an effective solution practice that involves submerging cotton cloths in warm oil to heat them which is the then squeezed and applied to the specific body part. It thereby provides nourishment to muscles and tissues, release stress, increase flexibility and restores muscles and joint movement by penetrating into the deep tissue level.
